Up-and-Coming Conservative Leader, Dana Point City Councilman Jamey Federico Receives the Lincoln Club Impact Award

City Councilman Federico, longtime friend to our cause, has worked dutifully to maintain the character of Dana Point while shepherding economic recovery and smart growth.

Orange County, CA - June 9 - The Lincoln Club of Orange County presented Dana Point City Councilman Jamey Federico with our Impact Award at our June Board of Directors meeting. This award is to recognize exemplary public servants who are devoted to community efforts benefitting Orange County families and beyond.

Our club has also given a formal endorsement for his 2022 campaign for Dana Point City Council.

A retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel and attack helicopter pilot, Federico served 4 combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. While in active duty, Federico was an advisor and translator to an Afghan Border Police Brigade commander on special assignment. Following the United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan, Federico led an effort to rescue those who were left behind in Kabul, including the interpreter he served with and his interpreter’s wife.

Throughout his time on Dana Point City Council, Federico has prioritized growth while keeping government small. He has put post-pandemic economic recovery at the center of his decision-making and has delicately balanced property rights for Dana Point’s residential neighborhoods while allowing for healthy growth. Furthermore, Federico has made plans to streamline bureaucratic processes in the city to reduce staff time and costs.

Federico serves as the current director and past chair of the Orange County Housing Finance Trust, as well as previously serving on the OCTA Citizens Advisory Committee and the ACC-OC Board of Directors. In his professional career, Federico is a real estate investor and owns a general contracting construction company.

A longtime resident of Dana Point, Federico has a wide range of civic involvement. He has served the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group as an advisory board member, the Dana Point VFW Post 9934, the Dana Point Sister Cities International Association as the vice president, and the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce as a member.

For his efforts as an established conservative voice within his community and beyond, the Lincoln Club of Orange County happily honors Dana Point City Councilman Jamey Federico with the fifth Lincoln Club Impact Award.
